Come Let Us Adore Him
Week 1, Don’t let the king be forgotten in the midst of the holiday chaos.
Christmas is a celebration about the birth of Jesus. But the celebration is so much more meaningful than that. What we are celebrating at Christmas is why Jesus came. So, this Christmas we want to reorient our celebrations to be Jesus centered.
Study questions:
What do your Christmas traditions look like? Church, Midnight Mass, Christmas Lights, Christmas Movies, etc.
How do you currently prioritize Jesus in your Christmas celebrations? Are there specific traditions or activities that help you keep Him at the center?
When it comes to Christmas, do you celebrate the event of Christmas without focusing on the purpose of Christmas? Why or why not?
Read Luke 10:38-42 (NLT) In what ways do you see parallels between Martha's distractions in the story and the distractions people face during the Christmas season?
What impact could be made if you gave to people in your life who didn’t deserve a gift from you? What is stopping you from doing it?
Moving Forward.
